Abstract:
Abstract The special issue has two objectives. First, it aims to improve our understanding of the impacts of pandemics and public policy responses, especially their economic impact across different sectors and geographical space. Second, it showcases how various spatial analysis tools and modelling techniques can be employed for an evidence-based impact assessment. This special issue features sixteen contributions, each of which addresses a specific type of economic and social impact of the pandemic in a country, a region, or a city.
