Abstract:
Based on the problems encountered in the development of the global mining industry, this paper analyzes the necessity and feasibility of evaluating global mining governance from four aspects: Coordination of targets among mining stakeholders Cross-learning of mining governance systems among countries Obvious limitations of current global mining governance studies as practical guides for action How realistic is building a global mining governance evaluation system. We also discuss how to build an evaluation system including analyzing a common framework, an indicator system, a database, a visualized evaluation platform and its maintenance, as well as the evaluation scope and perspective. Based on all these analyses, we believe we have clarified the necessity and feasibility of constructing a global mining governance evaluation system, and its importance in building an effective global mining governance system.
