Abstract: Abstract Landslide disasters in tropical rainforests are becoming increasingly severe. It is a tough task to prevent and control landslide effectively in the tropical rainforests. Ecological landslide prevention can not only provide the essential functions of traditional landslide prevention methods, but also have the merits in protecting and restoring the ecological environment to a certain extent. This study presented four ecological landslide prevention alternatives that provide a reference for landslide prevention, as well as effectively solve the contradiction between landslide prevention and ecological environmental protection. Then, an integrated decision-making framework is built based on the index system of ecological landslide prevention and Pythagorean fuzzy AHP and vague sets model. Finally, the landslide in the tropical rainforest area of Diaoluo Mountain, Hainan, China, was illustrated as a case study. The result shows that planting trees and grass to protect the landslide area shows the best effect on landslide prevention in the proposed area. The results in this paper suggest that the decision-making model can be extended to the landslide prevention in tropical rainforest worldwide, even in other areas of decision-making research.
