Abstract:
Abstract The recent study by Mehdiloozad et al. (in Eur J Oper Res 245:779–788, 2015. doi: 10.1016/j.ejor.2015.03.029 ) proposes a linear programming (LP) model for the problem of finding the global reference set (GRS) of an inefficient decision-making unit. The purpose of the current communication is to create an alternative mixed 0–1 linear programming framework for generating the same LP model. Toward this end, first, we reformulate the problem under consideration as a new mixed 0–1 LP model. Then, using the LP relaxation method, we drive the LP model of Mehdiloozad et al. (in Eur J Oper Res 245:779–788, 2015. doi: 10.1016/j.ejor.2015.03.0292015 ) from our proposed mixed 0–1 LP model.
