Troubled groups in situation: qualitative analysis of psychotherapeutic sessions with deviant adolescents

Abstract: This paper focuses essentially on method, and presents an overview of qual–quant analysis of 43 psychotherapeutic group sessions involving seven to eight adolescents attending a day center (Centro di Granarolo) of Alpim (Associazione Ligure per i Minori). The intervention started in June 2007 and lasted until September 2008. Information gathered from verbatim transcriptions of the sessions were analyzed by means of the maxqda10 software. This analysis highlights the importance of narrative themes, especially those connected with change. Specifically, it was possible to trace the change in narrative themes concerning the development of skills and psychological-social competencies, self/other representations and individual life-trajectories.
