Abstract: Abstract The purpose of this study is to define the components of subjective determination of academic research training and to establish differences in the degree of subjective determination in preschool students of different levels of academic research training. The methods used to achieve this goal were the minimal residual method using rotation of oblimins, the questionnaire method, K-means clustering of cases, etc. As a result of the study, it was discovered that subjective determination is represented by innovation, self-organisation, purposefulness, confidence, curiosity, research potential. Afterwards, three levels of the training of the preschool education students for academic research activities were identified and specific differences in the degree of subjective determination among students with different levels of academic research training were discovered. The results of the conducted research confirm the idea that subject determination defines the level of academic research training of preschool students.
