Abstract: Abstract After a close reading of a recent paper entitled “A comparative analysis of scientific publications in management journals by authors from Mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Macau: 2003–2012” in Scientometrics, some potential problems regarding the data and conclusion of this paper are found. Several comments are made to this paper after replicating the data collection and analysis process.
