Abstract: Abstract The paper describes the need and importance of collaboration on scientific research. It discusses the present status of India's collaboration with China in S&T, analyses the collaborative research between India and China, as reflected in the co-authored papers, in particular its nature, strong and week areas and its impact in different subject fields and indicates the potential areas in S&T for future collaboration.
