Abstract:
Summary Financial services are becoming an increasingly attractive field for corporate activity. In particular, supplier-bound equipment leasing has developed rapidly during the last few years. This paper demonstrates the multiple aspects that make leasing a promising strategic option for suppliers of telecommunication equipment. Based on this analysis, the authors suggest different designs for the organizational implementation of supplier-bound strategic leasing. Nevertheless, the paper also highlights the specific problems incorporated in a supplier-bound leasing offer. Whereas suppliers of telecommunication equipment utilize leasing as a distribution enhancement tool, leasing companies focus on limiting the incorporated risks. Therefore the paper outlines a clear cut concept for the critical domains of cooperation.
