Abstract:
Abstract The strategic impact of cooperative relationships on the future viability of companies, especially within the context of increasing complexity of globalized business, is undisputed. Nevertheless, many companies still lack experience and knowledge in this field and hence face considerable challenges to establish and maintain strategic alliances. Therefore, this article addresses key aspects regarding the configuration and management of alliances. Key findings of prior research are summarized and the results of twenty-two expert interviews offer crucial insights into the field of alliance management.
