Abstract:
Abstract This study aims to review the landscape of the Blue economies (BE) body of literature with a special focus on sustainability from 1993 to 2023. The Scopus database was employed to obtain the data. The selection process was done through the PRISMA technique further to which tools such as VOSviewer and Excel were used for the quantitative analyses of 1849 articles. Findings from this study also included an in-depth qualitative analysis of the topmost cited BE articles. It also examines trending terms, highest publishing sources, and nations. This study provides presents gaps and prospects for future research in the BE field. In addition, it will also allow academics and stakeholders to have a more comprehensive understanding of the current BE corpus.
