Abstract:
Abstract In the analysis of well-being, according to the “beyond GDP” approach, it is important to measure well-being and how it is distributed across territories and among the different groups that make up society. This paper focuses on job quality, which is an important aspect of life that contributes to well-being. More precisely, the social environment at workplace is measured by a composite indicator, and its distribution across European countries is investigated. A comparison of different aggregation approaches for the construction of the composite indicator is provided, and the measure is examined by means of influence and robustness analyses.
