Abstract: Abstract This case study shares practical insights in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) reporting at Stuttgart Airport. It is based on observations collected in eight years of sustainability disclosure—from the decision to publish the first environmental report until the completion of an integrated report. The purpose of this study is to exemplify how reporting can contribute to change a business, specifically its organizational structure and culture, towards more transparency. The observations at Stuttgart Airport suggest that change-makers who want their organization to develop an attitude that supports transparency can use CSR reporting as a tool. In that way, the case study deals with an internal benefit of CSR reporting that receives comparably little attention in literature and in practice.
