From clinical governance through CSR and knowledge sharing to clinical error control

Service Business, 2015, vol. 9, issue 4, 687-709

Abstract: Clinical governance is a transcendent force to steer clinicians toward patients and other clinicians in healthcare organizations. This empirical research seeks to examine the chain effect from clinical governance, through corporate social responsibility (CSR) and knowledge sharing, to clinical error control. Through the investigation of the responses from 418 middle level clinicians, the proposed model was tested through the structural equation modeling-based analysis. Research results confirmed the role of clinical governance in leveraging ethical CSR among clinicians, which is an activator of knowledge sharing. The contribution of knowledge sharing to clinical error control effectiveness was also revealed from data analysis. Copyright Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg 2015
