Abstract:
Abstract This study investigates the integrated development of the Internet of Things (IoT) and electronic commerce (E-commerce) from 2015 to 2023 and examines its implications for industry and society. By applying topic modeling and co-citation analysis to a corpus of relevant literature, several key research themes are identified: the application of smart systems in logistics and delivery operations, the deployment of advanced technologies to enhance security in connected environments, challenges surrounding privacy and trust in digital marketplaces, the transformation of supply chain management through real-time data and automation, and the economic impact of corporate digitalization. These themes correspond to four major knowledge domains: IoT technology development and security challenges, consumer behavior and theoretical models, trust and risk in e-commerce, and sustainable supply chain management. Collectively, these findings reveal a robust and interdisciplinary research network with both technological and theoretical depth. The study highlights the potential of IoT-E-commerce integration to enhance operational efficiency and customer experience, while also addressing challenges related to data governance, privacy protection, and sustainability. Future research directions include sector-specific applications of smart technologies and the development of effective strategies for securing sensitive information.
