Abstract: Abstract The study of the stationarity of hydrologic time series is a common method to detect climate change and the influence of anthropogenic activities on hydrologic variability. The power of different stationary tests is herein investigated with generated hydrologic time series. This study also combines a standard unit root test and an alternative stationary test to yield a new hybrid statistical analysis (HSA) model. The HSA model is implemented to study the effect of climate change in the Hamun Lake basin, Iran. The implementation results demonstrate that there is evidence of climatic change in the Lake Hamun basin.
