Abstract:
Abstract Russia’s war against Ukraine and China’s reactions have decisively changed the general conditions for industry in Germany. Industry is facing major changes in the context of modernization, decarbonization and localization. The energy transition offers an enormous economic opportunity for German industry. Instead of de-industrialization, re-industrialization is possible through a forced expansion of renewable energies and improved energy efficiency. This strengthens resilience and promotes sustainability and encourages innovation and enhances competitiveness.
