Abstract: Abstract Vielfältige Krisenerscheinungen des europäischen Integrationsprozesses lassen die Frage nach den Bestimmungsgründen von „europäischer Identität“ aufkommen. Aktuelle Eurobarometer-Daten zeigen empirisch positive und negative Determinanten europäischer Identität. Auf diese Weise ist es möglich, Zielgruppen und Aspekte zu identifizieren, die Hinweise für aussichtsreiche Ansatzpunkte zur Förderung europäischer Perspektiven geben können. Beispielhaft werden sechs mögliche Projekte skizziert: ein Erasmus-Programm für Senioren (Pensioner’s Erasmus), ein Austauschprogramm für Beschäftigte (Europäische Walz), ein öffentlich-rechtlicher EU-Fernsehsender, eine EU-Bürgerversammlung, transnationale Listen für Wahlen zum Europäischen Parlament und gemeinsame EU-Konsulate.
