Abstract: The article analyzes the basic requirements of the European legislation in the field of biodegradable municipal waste It highlights the scientific and methodical approach to the formation of the separate collection of biodegradable municipal waste systems in the residential sector that is based on the carrying out the organizational measures aimed at the individual collection of biodegradable waste food waste by a telephone call It is grounded the necessity of the application of this approach in Ukraine to meet the requirements of the EU directives
