Assesment of the Learning Needs Among Women Entrepreneurs in India With Special Reference to Maharashtra State

Abstract: The main purpose of this research paper is to explore learning needs of women entrepreneurs in Pune District. For this purpose the survey research paradigm has been adopted. Women Entrepreneurs (SMEs) were the population in the present study. Since the population was not easily identifiable, the researcher used snow-ball sampling method to identify and to select sample. Those women entrepreneurs were selected in this study that runs a small scale business and whose annual income approximately was around 100000/- rupees per year. 100 women entrepreneurs were selected from urban and rural region respectively. Total 200 women entrepreneurs were selected as a sample. The concern of researcher was to find out the gaps between rural and urban area with special reference to learning needs of women entrepreneurs. Learning needs are categorized into three segments like Knowledge, Motivation and Approach to problem solving. These are considered learning needs of women entrepreneurs which were measured by structured interview schedules.
