Inequality and the growth-poverty nexus: specification empirics using African data

Abstract: Applying analysis-of-covariance to 1990s African data, the study finds the impact of growth as a decreasing function of inequality and a poverty-growth elasticity range of 0.02-0.68 across the sample of countries.
