Trade openness and economic growth: panel evidence

Abstract: This article examines openness-growth nexus in a dynamic panel data framework by using various openness indicators. We assess the robustness of our findings by reducing the number of instruments. Our findings show that lower trade barriers are not associated with higher growth.
