On the identification of the Barten-Gorman model: an example within the AIDS framework

Abstract: This note provides the proof for the identifying conditions necessary to estimate the demographic parameters of the Barten-Gorman model. They are normalizations derived from the homogeneity property of the cost function that do not alter its theoretical admissibility.
