Abstract:
The aim of this article is to analyse the worldwide production in economics. To that end, bibliometric indicators are constructed by way of a database made-up of 55 international journals, covering the period 1992-1997. A ranking of the leading thousand international affiliations is established and quality indices of the first 200 are presented. Finally, a detailed analysis is carried out at country level and with respect to the 12 leading countries.
