Abstract:
This article analyses the efficiency of French nuclear energy plants belonging to EDF-electricity of France from 2004 to 2008 with a DEA-Data Envelopment Analysis model. The -convexity model is used to investigate the technical efficiency of a representative sample of nuclear plants. The results indicated that some plants have undergone an improvement in technical efficiency while others have regressed in terms of technical efficiency. Policy implications related to the results are discussed.
