Abstract: Based on the panel data of provinces and cities from 2002 to 2019, this study took the human capital agglomeration as the threshold variable and analysed the threshold effect of human capital agglomeration on the green upgrading of the manufacturing industry in the Yangtze River Economic Belt. Based on the dynamic panel threshold model, human capital agglomeration was found to have a significant threshold effect on green upgrading of the manufacturing industry in the Yangtze River Economic Belt. When human capital agglomeration crosses a certain threshold, the impact effect of manufacturing green upgrading decreases.
