In search of culture

Abstract:
The starting point of this article is the ever‐changing society in which new meanings of culture, as well as visions generated through social art practice, lead to new interpretations of participation and integration. The article pleads for a culture that cuts through other policy domains in a 'transversal’ way while giving them form and content, thus supporting 'cultural community work’. Kunst en Democratie (Arts and Democracy) considers it its mission to introduce these changes of mind.
