Abstract:
Community Resource Teams is an innovative, place-based community assessment program offered by Wisconsin Rural Partners, Inc. The program identifies areas in need of improvement and builds solutions for the host community while providing professional development for the team members. The four-stage process of preparing, planning, visit, and follow-up provides communities with a comprehensive assessment and action plan, and builds a professional network of practitioners. The program serves as a model for agencies and organizations that are looking to provide professional community development assistance through a team approach that engages many partners and resources.
