European Defence: No Zeitenwende Yet

Abstract: The EU and its Member States have taken unprecedented collective steps to support Ukraine militarily. That has not yet translated into a stronger momentum to further cooperation between their own defence forces, however. Ideally, Member States would integrate national capabilities into large multinational formations. NATO’s New Force Model could provide an extra stimulus to that end.
