ASEM and the evolving global order

Abstract: Growing resistance to globalization that characterized the end of the twentieth century and, indeed the beginning of this one, is the essential context within which any analysis of the utility of ASEM should be judged. In this regard, the Asian financial crisis represented a watershed for ASEM almost before it got started.
