Abstract:
This document outlines the current industrial upgrading strategies of Taiwan's Industrial Development Bureau, the institution widely recognized as the driving force behind Taiwan's industrial miracle. As well as covering the current development framework, envisaged goals, infrastructural advancements, and the package of promotional measures, the document outlines Taiwan's strategy for promoting the top ten “emerging industries” designated to become central pillars of Taiwan's industrial activity in the 21st century.
