Economics on the Internet: Electronic Mail in the Classroom

Abstract: E-mail enables instructors to reach out to students privately. Shy students use it to ask questions and participate in discussion groups. The barriers created by time and distance are minimized with e-mail. Students respond warmly to the medium.
