Portrayal of Older Students by Colleges and Universities

Abstract:
This inquiry used content analysis of student brochures to ascertain if a sample of colleges and universities portrayed older persons less frequently and less positively than they did younger individuals. The study generated evidence to indicate that colleges and universities tend to depict older persons infrequently and negatively.
