Journal of Sustainable Finance & Investment, 2023, vol. 13, issue 1, 16-43

Abstract: This research aims at studying the empowerment of Saudi women in the tourism sector according to the Kingdom's 2030 vision, as well as discussing the constituents and constraints of their empowerment in the tourism sector. The researchers reached a number of important results; such as the fact that the representation of Saudi women in the tourism sector is still significantly low compared to men. Recently, however, the level of empowering the Saudi women in the tourism sector has been increased by more than 90%. The city of Makkah topped the cities of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in terms of the excellence of women working in the tourism sector, with a high level of women empowerment. A statistically significant difference was found in the components of empowering Saudi women in the tourism sector according to the Kingdom's 2030 vision, according to the age and the educational level.
