Stratified pair ranked set sampling

M. Mahdizadeh and Ehsan Zamanzade

Communications in Statistics - Theory and Methods, 2018, vol. 47, issue 24, 5904-5915

Abstract: Stratified pair ranked set sampling is introduced and applied in estimating the population mean. Mathematical properties of the suggested estimator are treated. The estimator and its competitors are also compared through some numerical studies. Usefulness of the proposed design is illustrated using a cost analysis.
