Communications in Statistics - Theory and Methods, 2021, vol. 50, issue 6, 1446-1455

Abstract: In the present article, we propose nonparametric estimators for the past inaccuracy measure for the lifetime distribution based on right censored data. Two non parametric estimators, one based on the empirical distribution function and the other using kernel density estimator, are proposed. Asymptotic properties of the estimators are established under suitable regularity conditions. Monte-Carlo simulation studies are carried out to compare the performance of the estimators. The method is illustrated using a real data set.
