On ordering parallel systems with two components having Marshall/Olkin-type lifetime distribution

Abstract: This article studies the parallel system with two component lifetimes following Marshall/Olkin-type distribution. We develop some sufficient conditions for the hazard rate order on the system lifetime, which essentially generalize related results in the literature on lifetime distributions with Marshall–Olkin structure.
