Abstract:
This paper deals with some stochastic comparisons of both series and parallel systems comprising dependent Burr Type XII components under the Archimedean copula. Sufficient conditions are also established for star ordering between the lifetimes of series and parallel systems based on multiple-outlier Burr model. The lifetime of a series system with dependent heterogeneous Burr components is proved to be smaller than that of a system with dependent homogeneous components in the sense of convex transform order.
