Communications in Statistics - Theory and Methods, 2025, vol. 54, issue 9, 2609-2622

Abstract: This article discusses the estimating equation method for varying coefficient transformation models. The B spline technique is used to approximate the unknown functional coefficients, resulting in a parametric model. The approximated model is then given a set of estimation equations. Under some regular conditions, we demonstrate the large sample properties of the resulting estimates. Some simulation studies and a real data application are also employed to assess the performance of our proposed methodologies.
