The role of strategic agility in achieving organizational excellence in Jordanian universities

Abstract:
The aim of this study is to find the role of strategic agility in achieving organizational excellence within Jordanian universities. The selection of participants comprised employees from Jordanian universities, either within the management team or randomly selected faculty members. The study adopted a quantitative research approach, data were collected through an online survey collection method using Google online platform forms. The researcher distributed 572 questionnaires, 492 were returned and 438 were applicable for analysis. The researcher used Smart PLS to perform data analysis, based on Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The study showed that: There is a positive role of strategic sensitivity in organizational excellence, there is a positive role of strategic response in organizational excellence, there is a positive role of resource fluidity in organizational excellence, and there is a positive role of technological capabilities in organizational excellence. The main contribution of this study is to find the role of strategic agility in achieving organizational excellence within Jordanian universities. Thus, this study is going to fill the gap in the literature, due to the lack of related previous studies. This will allow comparison and development whenever conducting further studies in the future. This study will also be useful for different parties, such as management teams and faculty members.
