Abstract:
This study examines the correspondence between the immediate reaction of foreign manufacturing corporations in Russia after the strong sanctions imposed by Western countries on Russia after the outbreak of the Russia–Ukraine military conflict in March 2022 and the level of concordance between initial foretelling of strategic actions and actual strategic actions developed by subsidiaries of corporations from sanctioning countries in 2022–2023. We found that industry and the size of a subsidiary play an important role in making decisions about an oversee divestment.
