The Shockley five-parameter model of a solar cell: A short note

Abstract: This paper is concerned with an alternative formulation of the Shockley five-parameter model of a solar cell. This formulation leads to an explicit relationship between the short-circuit current and the light-generated current and the direct determination of the light-generated current from a knowledge of the series and shunt resistances.
