Abstract:
The purpose of this study is to investigate how local residents perceive the impact of the PyeongChang 2018 Winter Olympic Games. A total of 407 residents participated in this study. The results revealed that economic, infrastructure, and tourism impacts positively affected local sustainable development, and cultural exchange had a positive effect on community attachment. Moreover, local sustainable development had a significant positive effect on community attachment. The findings of this study provide insight into the perceived impacts of host communities in developing regions.
