Abstract:
Translation is crucial for the tourism industry, yet the quality of tourism translation has frequently been the subject of criticism. This paper discusses the reasons behind the poor quality of tourism translation and provides solutions for creating favourable destination images across languages including by initiating collaborations between Tourism Studies and Translation Studies.
