Abstract:
This article examines the contribution Lionel Cliffe has made to a charcterisation of the war of liberation in Eritrea. It does so by looking at the specificity of the Eritrean case and the dimensions of the struggle for liberation including the military strategy of the EPLF and the strategy for land reform.
