Catharsis and Policy-Making: A Conceptual Sketch

Abstract:
This article aimed at exploring a conceptual model where the idea of catharsis may be utilized to explain aggressive behaviors in the policy-making context. The Dollard’s linear model of aggressive behavior was reviewed to come up with an alternative model of aggression in the policy process.
