Abstract:
This paper introduces the three articles that were a part of Security in Context and Review of Social Economy joint symposium that took place at the University of Oklahoma. The three papers include “Multipolarity and the New South-South Relations: Myth vs. Reality” by Omar Dahi and Firat Demir, “Security in Context (SiC): A Novel Theoretical and Empirical Approach to the US-China Rivalry” by Min Ye, and “A Political Economy Analysis of Changes and Continuities in Iran-Africa Trade Relations: A Case of South-South Dependency?” by Eric Lob and Hakan Yilmazkuday. These papers offer a compelling and critical lens of multipolarity, great power competition and the New South-South relations.
