Abstract:
A millimeter-wave pattern-reconfigurable antenna is proposed, which adopts a linear array structure with three radiating elements and has a reconfigurable feeding network. In order to eliminate the influence on the radiation caused by the feeding network and to conveniently reconfigure the feeding network, the feeding layer and radiation layer of the antenna are separated by a ground plane. By electrically controlling the PIN diodes integrated in the feeding network, the proposed antenna can reconfigure its radiation pattern with three reconfigurable modes. Experiment results show that the three reconfigurable patterns point to , 3°, and in the elevation plane, respectively, with a gain fluctuation less than 0.6 dB.
