Abstract:
We used LCR transmission lines to model right-handed (conventional material) and left-handed (electromagnetic metamaterial) systems. Both systems are perturbed by an electric field and expressions for the electrical conductivity are obtained. An expression that relates both conductivities is obtained, a numerical analysis shows explicitly the parameter range for the occurrence of a window of conductivity.
