Abstract:
This paper presents a single-layer co-axial fed compact rectangular microstrip antenna for 2.4/5.2/5.8 GHz WLAN applications. The antenna consists of four rectangular and one triangular slot inside the patch and one rectangular open-ended slot inside the ground plane. Measured impedance bandwidths (2.36–2.485 and 5.14–6.43 GHz) show that the antenna is suitable for the applications in WLAN IEEE 802.11b/g and IEEE 802.11a bands.
